Albania Research Assistant
A postdoctoral fellow from the University of California at Berkeley is looking for a research assistant to help conduct fieldwork in two selected villages near Pogradec. The research will be concerned with the effects of postsocialist land reform, land tenure and land use on rural livelihoods.
Fieldwork will take place from May 30 to July 2, 2008. The research assistant’s main task will be to help conduct interviews with villagers and district officials (translation) . Basic accommodation will be provided in the villages. The research assistant will receive a competitive salary.
Requirements for the job:
- proficiency in English is essential
- willingness to spent 4 weeks in basic, rural conditions
- experience in conducting interviews, preferably a background in social, agricultural or environmental science
