[Australia] 2008 Study Melbourne Scholarship
La Trobe University is offering a range of undergraduate scholarships to high achieving students from China, North America, Europe and the United Kingdom. The Study Melbourne Scholarships are being offered in cooperation with the Victorian Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development. They are available for international students commencing study in 2008.
Study Melbourne Scholarship recipients will be required to participate in the promotion of Melbourne/Victoria as a study destination for international students.
The following information outlines specific details of the scholarship program, course requirements, and country eligibility.
The Faculty of Science, Technology and Engineering offers a select number of scholarships to outstanding international students from China who aim to undertake any Bachelor’s degree program within the Faculty.
Value
Six scholarships will be awarded to the value of A$5000 each, for students commencing study at La Trobe in July 2008.
Eligibility
The scholarships are available to outstanding high school (Year 12) graduates from China who have achieved excellent results in their University Entrance Exam (Gao Kao)* AND who have achieved the following level of English language proficiency:
IELTS- a minimum overall band score of 6.0 with no individual band less than 6.0
* Students must meet university entrance requirements from Gao Kao.
