[Australian] PhD Scholarship in Criminology - Griffith University

Griffith University, Legal Aid Queensland, and the Department of Communities seek a PhD candidate to undertake research involving the development of a methodology to assess the longitudinal costs associated with the movement of individuals through the criminal justice system and simulation of the financial impact of different crime prevention programs.

Funded by an ARC Linkage Grant, the scholarship has an annual stipend of $25,118 (2006 rate) and is available for three years of full-time study, together with relocation and thesis allowances.

The successful applicant will have completed an Honours degree (1 or 2A) or equivalent in economics, statistics, psychology, or criminology and an interest in applying these skills to advance our understanding of the criminal justice system.
