Monsanto Canada is Helping Build Careers in Agricultural Sciences and Forestry
The Monsanto Canada Opportunity Scholarship Program is for Canadian high school students from family farms who have successfully enrolled at a Canadian educational institution (degree or diploma) in a first-year agricultural sciences or forestry program.
If you have applied for entry into a college or university, but have not yet been accepted, you can still apply for a Monsanto Canada Scholarship. However, if you are awarded a scholarship, you must provide an acceptance letter from your educational institution.
Successful applicants will each be awarded a scholarship valued at $1500, based on demonstrated academic standards and leadership in the community. Selection will be made by an independent panel.
Instructions
Please type or print information required for all sections of the Application Form.
Your submission must contain the following:
- Completed Application Form.
- Two Reference Letters (excluding family members)
- University/College Acceptance Letter*
- Final High School Transcript
- Application Essay.
Return your application (with all attachments) post-marked by July 16, 2007 to:

*If you have not been accepted at time of application, and if you are awarded a scholarship, you will have to forward your Acceptance Letter to Monsanto Canada prior to receipt of scholarship.
Application Essay
Please provide an Application Essay between 300-500 words for the Selection Committee, do not exceed word count.
Essay Question:
“In what area of agriculture or forestry would you like to work and why?”
All Essays must be:
- Arial font
- 10 pt
- Double-spaced
- 1.25″ left and right margins
