POST-GRADUATE OPPORTUNITIES IN GEOGRAPHY IN SASKATCHEWAN, CANADA
The Department of Geography at the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada, is seeking to fill a number of funded opportunities for graduate students. The Department offers programmes leading to MA, MSc, and PhD degrees. Successful applicants will join a vigorous, research-oriented department with strong collaborative links to social and natural science departments as well as research centres on campus. The University houses research institutes of the Government of Saskatchewan, the National Hydrology Research Centre of Environment Canada, as well as other institutions with national and international links.

- Cold Regions Hydrology (Marsh, Pomeroy, Spence, Westbrook)
- Drought and Climate Change (Bonsal, Pomeroy, Wheaton)
- Wetlands (Westbrook, Hill)
- Planning, Regional, Urban, and Community Development (Akkerman, Hackett, Peters, Pooler, Reed, Walker)
- Social and Health Geographies of Aboriginal People (Hackett, Peters, Stock, Walker)

Students who receive Tri-Council or other major research awards are also considered for a tuition scholarship.
The Department hosts two Canada Research Chairs, participates in the Centre for Hydrology, and leads two major national research networks, IP3 (http://www.usask.ca/ip3) and DRI (http://www.drinetwork.ca).
