[Finland] Technician/PhD student - University of Turku
2 Technicians/PhD students, 2 years, biotechnology/bioanalytical chemistry for developing applications for new bioanalytical methods employing fluorescence and time-resolved luminescence. The positions may be used towards PhD degree. Prolonging of the contract is negotiable. Application closing date 30 March 2007
The project aims to develop protein, cell and receptor-ligand assays. We are seeking qualified researchers to design, investigate and develop novel luminescence assay formats that base on resonance energy transfer and nanoparticle labels.
The salary of a technician or a PhD student will be commensurate with experience and personal performance in accordance with the Finnish universities salary system and lies typically in the range of EUR 1706 and EUR 2056.
Laboratory of Biophysics develops new bioanalytical methods and instrumentation for biosciences research and routines.

Requirements:
The candidates must possess a Master’s degree or equivalent skills in biotechnology/bioanalytical chemistry. Experience in assay development and fluorescence resonance energy transfer is advantageous. Good communication skills and fluent spoken and written English are an absolute must
