NTPC a premier public sector enterprise in power sector offers excusive scholarships for SC/ST students pursuing full time Diploma in Engineering in a recognized Institute.
Tenure: The scholarship is payable for all the 12 months in a year.

Subject to availability of vacancies, the candidate in receipt of NTPC Scholarship will have to appear for NTPC selection test and / or interview for the post of Diploma Trainees when called upon. If appointed as Diploma Trainee, candidate will be required to undergo one year training during which period they will be paid stipend as per rules and on successful completion of training they will be appointed in the appropriate cadre. Candidate will be required to serve the corporation for a minimum period of 3 years from the date of appointment in the appropriate cadre. Failure to appear for the NTPC selection test and / or interview and if selected to join as Trainee and thereafter serve NTPC for a period of 3 years will entail the candidate to refund the entire scholarship amount as well as training cost incurred on him.

Candidate fulfilling above requirements and willing to be considered for NTPC Scholarship may submit his duly signed and typed application along with recent attested photograph and furnishing full particulars like Name, Father’s Name, Address for Communication, Date of Birth, Category SC/ST, Qualification indicating interalia, Name of Course, Institution, Branch of Study, Year of passing, Percentage of Marks secured in Matriculation, pre-entrance qualifying examination and first year of Engineering Diploma Course along with copies of mark sheets and caste certificate and an undertaking that he fulfills the eligibility conditions as laid down and is not in receipt of any financial aid or assistance form any other source and further that the information furnished by him is true and correct and if found false/incorrect, it will disqualify him from NTPC scholarship and employment apart from refund of the amount. The envelope Super scribed ‘NTPC Scholarship for SC/ST’ should be forwarded to Liaison Officer (SC/ST) NTPC Limited, NCR HQ, Room no. 34, HR Department, R&D Bldg. A-8A, Sector 24, Noida. Application should be duly forwarded by Head of the Institute in which candidate is pursuing Engineering Diploma. Each Institute can forward maximum of two application.
