[Indonesia] Indonesian Presidential Scholarships for Australian Students
The Government of the Republic of Indonesia is offering fifty scholarships over five years to Australian students to study in Indonesia. Scholarships are offered to students to study Indonesian language and/or culture at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.
Overview
The scholarships allow Australian students to undertake undergraduate or postgraduate studies in Indonesian language and/or culture. The scholarships are for coursework programs and cannot be applied for research purposes. Selection of scholarship recipients will be based on academic results and an application essay which outlines the proposed field of study and how the field of study contributes to strengthening relations between Indonesia and Australia.
The scholarship
The scholarship covers airline tickets, tuition fees, visa costs, monthly living and clothing allowances. The organising body will assist applicants to find accommodation and accommodation costs are included in the living allowance. The following cities are the likely destinations for scholarship recipients: Jogjakarta (Central Java), Bandung (West Java), Padang (West Sumatra) and Manado (North Sulawesi). Applicants may indicate their preferred educational institute however the final decision on institutions will be made by the Indonesian Government.
