POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN EDUCATION: Application Procedures for 2008 Entry
A centralised system is in place for common application and selection procedures for admission to the Postgraduate Diploma in Education in the following universities:
- National University of Ireland, Cork
- National University of Ireland, Dublin
- National University of Ireland, Galway
- National University of Ireland, Maynooth
Applications are made on a single application form, stating preferences among the programmes offered by the four universities.
The closing date for receipt of completed applications for Autumn 2008 is 1 December 2007.
Late applications will be received up to 10 January 2008 for a fee of €120.
As the application form is very detailed, and requires accompanying documentation, completing the application process is quite time consuming. Students are advised to get the application material early in order to allow sufficient time to complete the forms in advance of the deadline.
Application packages for the centralised Postgrad Dip courses must be requested in writing from the address below. You may also request an application pack on the website at: www.pac.ie

It is also possible to do the H Dip in TCD. The closing date for applications is early December. Contact the Admissions Office in TCD for details.
UL offers a number of specialist Postgraduate Diploma in Education courses which qualify graduates to teach Business subjects, Music, Technology or Languages in second level schools. The application deadlines for these courses will be March 2008. Check the UL website for details at:
