[Japan] Japanese Government Scholarship to Study at Waseda University
Waseda University Graduate School of Asia-Pacific Studies (GSAPS) ‘Future Leader’s Program for Regional Integration and Cooperation in Asia’ was selected for the International Priority Graduate Program (PGP) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan. The GSAPS welcomes applications from top students/alumni of our excellent partner universities.
- Eligibility requirement: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree
- Duration of awards: 2 years for Master’s program, 3 years for PhD programme
- Award contents: Tuition fees, travel expenses, stipend (JPY160,000/month), etc.
- Number of awards: 6 master’s students and 4 PhD students (no exchange students)
- Application period: March 1-15, 2007

The objective of our ‘Future Leader’s Program for Regional Integration and Cooperation in Asia’ is to develop leading researchers who will conduct research in various fields (such as politics, economics, society, culture and education) on the themes of regional integration and cooperation, and can proactively participate in policy making processes in
governments or international organizations.
