[Malaysia] YWS Scholarship Awards 2008 for Malaysian
Wah Seong Corporation Berhad (WSC) is Asia’s leading oil and gas service group with an extensive international presence. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility program, WSC has established Yayasan Wah Seong (YWS), in its efforts to nurture a new generation of forward thinking and progressive Malaysians.
YWS provides opportunities to outstanding individuals to fulfill their dreams and aspirations of contributing to the nation’s development. Scholarships in all fields of study are offered to financially needy and academically deserving students. Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria are invited to apply.
Eligibility criteria
YWS Scholarship Award 2008 is open to candidates currently studying, registered or applying to local institution of higher learning or university.
- STPM in local schools or Matriculation courses in local public universities.
- Any course in local universities, technical colleges and vocational institutions
In addition, applicants must:
- be Malaysian
- demonstrate a continuing involvement in extra-curricular activities (team or individual sports; voluntary service; affiliation with a recognized association or society)

Scholarship Package
Allowance of not more than RM10,000 a year inclusive of payments for:
- Course and other compulsory fees
- Board and lodging
- Transportation
- Textbooks
- Miscellaneous pocket expenses
