[Netherlands] MBA Scholarships at Tias Nimbas Tilburg University
Practiceshows that an MBA, in a business or management related field awarded byan institute of good standing, is a solid investment with a highreturn. However, we realise that you may need some financial support tomake such an investment possible. There are a number of loan andscholarship opportunities for our students, depending on their personalsituation.
In honour of the 20th anniversary of the Utrecht campus of TiasNimbas Business School, 20 scholarships of € 10,000 each are available for Full-Time MBA students.
Thescholarship will be awarded to candidates with outstanding MBAprofiles, meeting all MBA admissions criteria. Candidates will need toinclude with their application a letter of motivation explaining whyTiasNimbas should consider him/her for the scholarship.

Fentener van Vlissingen Scholarship
Thanksto the inspired generosity of Mr Paul Fentener van Vlissingen,exceptional students can apply for a Fentener van VlissingenEnvironmental Management MBA Scholarship, which grants 3 winners eachan amount of €10,000 towards the cost of a full-time MBA.
Threescholarships will be awarded to full-time MBA students who want tocontribute to sustainable development. The recipients will be requiredto complete their MBA with a research project in the field of CorporateResponsibility and Sustainable Development.
To apply for thescholarship, candidates must write a 1000 word essay. In this essaycandidates should outline how, by following a TiasNimbas MBA andcompleting it with a development related research project, they canbenefit their local community or environment. Each candidate’sfinancial situation and academic credentials will also be considered bythe scholarship committee.
The deadline for receipt of essaysis 30 April 2007. Completed essays, together with your MBA applicationform and sent to the TiasNimbas Admissions team.

All Nationalities - ING Postgraduate Loan for NIMBASians
TheING Postgraduate Loan has two stages. The first stage covers theduration of the MBA programme, comprising a Current Account Credit incombination with an existing or newly-opened ING Private Account. Inthe second stage the Current Account Credit will be changed into aMedium-Term Loan with fixed repayment instalments as well as a fixedinterest rate based upon the current ING quotation at the time for thistype of loan. UK - AMBA Business School Loan Scheme
NIMBAS is accredited by the London-based Association of MBAs. British students are therefore eligible to participate in the AMBA Business School Loan Scheme.
Study Grants

TheDutch Government has restructured its educational system by introducingthe Bachelor-Master system (BaMa) after the European Ministers ofEducation had agreed to make the educational level for highervocational education more comparable. The whole of Europe now has anidentical educational system consisting of two stages: a Bachelor and aMaster stage. For example, if you have completed your Bachelor’s studyin Economics in the Netherlands, you will have about the sameeducational qualifications as one who has completed the same study inFrance. After completion of a Bachelor’s study, one can specialisefurther on a Master’s level.
Dutch residents
Studyingfull-time at a Hogeschool or University entitles Dutch residents toreceive a grant by the Dutch Government (studiefinanciering). Inaddition to financial support, they also receive compensation fortravelling costs (OV jaarkaart). These compensations are applicable forthe Bachelor as well as the Master stage.
TiasNimbas studentsare eligible to apply for the grant and the travelling compensationfrom the Dutch Government. To do so, the following codes are needed:

EU or EEA residents
Inthe Netherlands, an annual tuition fee must be paid for vocational,professional or university education. If you come from an EU or an EEAcountry and you study in the Netherlands, you may qualify for a grantfor tuition fee.
You are eligible for a grant if you:
- Have the nationality of an EU country (Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czechia , Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland , Portugal, Spain, Slovenia and Sweden) or Switzerland
- Follow a course in the Netherlands which entitles you to a grant for tuition fees or a student grant
- Pay the tuition fees in the Netherlands
- Are not eligible for a student grant based on the nationality criteria
Thegrant is paid on a monthly basis and the application must be submittedwithin four months after the month in which you begin with your study.
