[Spain] Post-doctoral Positions in Optics and Photonics - ICFO

The ICFO - Institut de Ciències Fotóniques is a center based in Barcelona, devoted to the research and education of the optical and photonic sciences, at the highest international level.
ICFO is currently offering post-doctoral contracts to well-qualified candidates who wish to enhance their scientific training conducting research in the following areas:

  • biophotonics
  • nonlinear optics
  • nanophotonics
  • quantum optics
  • atom optics
  • quantum information
  • nonlinear microscopy
  • optical trapping and tweezers
  • optical parametric oscillators

ICFO welcomes applications from individuals with backgrounds in any scientific disciplines related to optics and photonics.

Eligibility

  • No restrictions of citizenship apply to the ICFO post-doctoral contracts.
  • Candidates must hold an internationally-recognized PhD-equivalent degree in a field of science and engineering related to optics and photonics.
  • Suitable backgrounds include optics, physics, mathematics, electronics and telecommunications engineering.

Conditions of posts
The contracts are offered for periods of one or two years, renewable for a total of five years.
