International Master Programmes autumn 2008 by Mid Sweden University

Mid Sweden University offers a number of International Master Programmes. Mid Sweden University only offers International Master Programmes for free movers, no undergraduate courses or bachelor programmes are available. Admission requirements
- General requirements: For all International Master Programmes at Mid Sweden University it is required that you fill the basic requirements for studies at the advanced level. This means that you must hold a Bachelor’s degree of at least 180 higher education points (180 ECTS) to be eligible.
- Specific requirements: In addition to the general requirements all programmes also have specific academic requirements. You will find all necessary information regarding specific academic requirements for the International Master Programmes here.
All International Master Programmes at Mid Sweden University require a high level of written and spoken English. Mid Sweden University accepts the following tests:
- TOEFL: overall score of 550 on a paper based test and 213 on a computer based test
- IELTS: 6.0 overall score and a score of at least 5.0 on the specific parts
Please note that if you are about to take the TOEFL-test it is your responsibility to ensure that the official TOEFL score is forwarded directly from ETS to The Swedish National Admissions Office to Higher Education. You should use this institution code when taking the test: Sweden 9520. Your test result will then be sent directly from the test centre to the Swedish National Agency for Services to Universities and University Colleges.
English language test exemptions
Some students may be exempt from submitting formal test evidence. These are:
- Students who have a Bachelor’s degree from a university where English is the only language of instruction, according to the latest edition of International Handbook of Universities.
- Students who have a Bachelor’s degree (a Swedish Kandidatexamen or equivalent academic qualifications) with English as the major subject.
- Students who have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or Technology from India or Pakistan.
How to apply
The application for International Master Programmes starting autumn 2008 is made via Studera.nu. The online application service will open on December 1, 2007. The last date to apply is February 1, 2008.
