[Sweden] Master’s Programs - USBE

Umeå University does not cooperate with any agencies. You do not need to contact an agency in order to apply to our programs.
You can apply to all of USBE’s Master’s Programs (with the exeption of the Master’s Program in Strategic Project Management with the help of the weblinks you will find on this webpage.

There are 3 different ways of applying and three different deadlines and which way you should use depends on who you are. See the column to the right.

HOW TO APPLY:

  • If you are an exchange student
    If you are a student from a university that we have an exchange agreement with you can apply to our master courses by being nominated by your home universities. Read more about this possibility here.
    The deadline for the applications from the nominated exchange students to reach the International Office is the 15th of May.
  • If you are a free-mover requiring a residence permit befor entering Sweden. (Free-mover students that already have a residence permit, in Sweden, that only lasts until the 31st of July also belongs to this application group)
    Read more here about countries whose citizens require a residence permit . In order to apply to a USBE Master’s program, starting the fall of 2007, you must create your individual application form with the help of the online webservice.
    The online webservice is now open for application to the fall semester 2007 and you will find it here together with instructions
  • If you are a free-mover that does not requier a residence permit befor entering Sweden, mainly EU/EES residents.
    (Free-mover students that already have a residence permit, in Sweden, that lasts until the 1st of August or longer also belongs to this application group)
    In order to apply to a USBE Master’s Program, starting the fall of 2007, you must order an application form. At the following website To order an application form you must fill in your name and adress and then press the button “skicka” on the website you will find here.

When you receive it you must fill it out sign it and send it in together with the required documents to:

The dealine for the application to reach Antagning in Strömsund is the 15th of April.
