[UK] EUA Postgraduate Studentship for Research Degrees - University of East Anglia
The University is offering 16 new studentships under its Postgraduate Research Studentships Scheme (four in each of the University’s Faculties), to commence in 2007, with a duration of up to three years. The funding available through the scheme is directly analogous to that supplied by the various Research Councils with similar terms and conditions. The studentships will be available under the Scheme to applicants who can clearly demonstrate academic excellence in areas relevant to the strategic research interests of the University. These studentships may be held in any School of Studies . Applicants can submit their own proposals for research or may contact Faculties or Schools of Studies for information about current project proposals. Proposals must be aligned with current strategic research goals, further information about which can be obtained from the Faculties. The awards, based on Research Council funding for fees and maintenance (currently £12,500 per year), are for full-time UK/EU candidates only, over a period of three years. Candidates should hold a good first degree and taught Master’s qualification.
To be considered for this award, you should make an application for admission to a MPhil/PhD in the normal manner, but you should indicate the intention to be considered for an open studentship under the Postgraduate Studentships Scheme. Please also indicate with your application where you saw the studentship advertised. The deadline for applications for 2007/08 will be 16 March 2007.
