[UK] European Achievement Scholarship – Sheffield Hallam University
Sheffield Hallam University is delighted to announce our new European Achievement Scholarships programme to recognise and reward the personal, academic and professional achievements of our students.
We have 14 scholarships of £1,000 each which will be awarded to EU students who begin a full-time course at the University in September 2007, in the 2007/08 academic year.
Successful applicants will be awarded with a cheque and a certificate to mark their achievement at an annual prize-winners’ reception.
Eligibility criteria
You are eligible to be considered for the European Achievement Scholarship if:
- you are a national of one of the following countries: Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Poland, Portugal
- you have achieved, or are expecting to achieve, a minimum of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent (the IELTS requirement for the chosen course may be higher)
- you can evidence achievement via the personal statement.
In addition postgraduate applicants must have:
- a good undergraduate degree
and undergraduate applicants must have:
- a high standard of secondary education
- given a firm or insurance acceptance of offer.
Allocation
The University Scholarship Panel will aim to allocate the scholarships to undergraduate and postgraduate applicants from the following countries:
- Cyprus
- France
- Germany
- Greece
- Ireland
- Poland
- Portugal
How to apply
Applications for the scholarship should be made by completing the application form available below:
Applications for the European Achievement Scholarship should be made with, or following, an application for a taught course at Sheffield Hallam University. The deadline for applying for the scholarship is 30 June 2007.
