[UK] Masters Scholarships for International Students - The University of Exeter
The University is launching new merit-based scholarships for international students on taught Masters programmes starting in October 2007. These scholarships are offered on a country-specific basis to applicants from:
These scholarships are aimed at international students with strong English language skills and of high academic ability (typically at least upper second class honours or international equivalent). Preference will be given to applicants providing evidence of intention to progress to doctoral study at Exeter.
China Scholarships
Five awards of £5,000 towards international tuition fees for full-time Masters study within the Schools of Biosciences; Psychology; Engineering, Computer Science & Mathematics; Sport & Health Science; Geography, Archaeology & Earth Resources.
Please note that only applicants holding offers for an eligible Masters programme starting in October 2007 who have applied by 30 May 2007 will be considered. Applicants will typically be expected to have or expect to obtain a Chinese bachelors degree of at least 80% or CGPA of 3.5, and IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. Preference will be given to applicants providing evidence of intention to progress to doctoral study at Exeter.

Middle East Scholarships (Jordan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UEA)
Five awards of £5,000 towards international tuition fees for full-time Masters study within the Schools of Biosciences; Arts, Languages & Literatures; Education and Lifelong Learning; Business & Economics; and Engineering, Computer Science & Mathematics.
Please note that only applicants holding offers for an eligible Masters programme starting in October 2007 who have applied by 30 June 2007 will be considered. Applicants will typically be expected to have or expect to obtain a first degree of first class or good upper second class equivalent and IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. Preference will be given to applicants providing evidence of intention to progress to doctoral study at Exeter.

Applicants will typically be expected to have or expect to obtain a Turkish bachelors degree of at least 65% or CGPA 3.0, and IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. Preference will be given to applicants providing evidence of intention to progress to doctoral study at Exeter.

Thai Scholarship
The University has created the following award to celebrate the work of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, who was awarded an honorary degree by the University in June 2006. The HRH Princess Sirindhorn award will cover the full tuition fees for a Thai student to study a full-time Masters degree in the School of Humanities & Social Sciences including the Institute of Arab & Islamic Studies.
Please note that only applicants holding offers for an eligible Masters programme starting in October 2007 who have applied by 30 May 2007 will be considered. Applicants will typically be expected to have or expect to obtain a Thai bachelors degree with a CGPA of at least 3.3 and IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. Preference will be given to applicants providing evidence of intention to progress to doctoral study at Exeter.
