Founded in 1823 and based in Bloomsbury, Birkbeck extends educational opportunities while achieving world-class research results
The Intelligent Support for Mathematical Generalisation (ISMG) project is funded by the EPSRC/ESRC under the Teaching and Learning Research Programme. The project aims to design, build and evaluate a pedagogical and technical environment for improving 11-14 year old students’ learning of mathematical generalisation. The project will be based at the London Knowledge Lab, a unique collaboration between two of the UK’s most prominent centres of world-class research - the Institute of Education and Birkbeck. For all posts we seek people with a commitment to research on the improvement of learning, and willing to engage intellectually and socially in an interdisciplinary team of social and computer scientists.
