[UK] PhD Studentships in Applied Mathematics - University of the West of England
PhD Studentship in Applied Mathematics Two studentships in Applied Mathematics are available for immediate start.
The following projects are available:
- Stability of Taylor-Couette flow of Helium II with imposed Axial Flow
- Mathematical Modelling of Infectious Diseases
- Mathematical Modelling of Brood-Sorting in Ants
- A Man-Computer Approach to Graph-Theoretic Conjectures and Problems
The bursary will be £12,300 per annum and is not subject to UK taxes. In addition, tuition fees will be waived for the duration of the bursary (3 years).
Eligibility
Applicants should hold a first or upper second class Honours degree or a Masters Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject. A recognised English language qualification (minimum IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 600) is required if English is not your first language.
Closing Date for applications
The closing date for applications in 15 December 2006. These bursaries must be taken up by February 2007.
