[UK] Postgraduate Annual Fund scholarships

Through gifts made by Kingston alumni to the Annual Fund1, the Development Office is offering a number of postgraduate scholarships for UK and EU students (classified as ‘Home’ for fees purposes). The aim is to:

  • encourage academic excellence; and
  • allow talented young graduates to continue to higher levels of learning and research.

They are available for all courses (except teacher training/PCGE courses) and will pay 50% of the fees (up to £3,000) for a one-year, full-time or two-year, part-time masters programme. Applicants must:

  • be classed as ‘Home’ for fees purposes; and
  • have already received an offer of a place to study at Kingston.

The selection criteria is:

  • academic ability:
    • A: first class honours in first degree or clear equivalent
    • B: very good upper II or clear equivalent
    • C: good upper II or equivalent
  • academic potential:
    • A: very strongly supported by referee
    • B: strongly supported by referee
    • C: moderate support by referee

Please note that financial need will not be taken into account.

How to apply

The closing date for scholarship applications for entry into the 2011/12 academic year is Friday 26 August 2011. We cannot consider applications for scholarships received after this deadline. Please check back later for the scholarship deadline for the 2012/13 academic year.
