[UK] Scholarships for Graduate Study in London - LGAC
Further Information: The London Goodenough Association of Canada (“LGACâ€) invites applications for scholarships in support of graduate study in London, England for the 2007-2008 academic year. The LGAC awards Scholarships towards the cost of accommodation at Goodenough College (www.goodenough.ac.uk), the pre-eminent residential college for international graduate students in London.
The LGAC is an association of Canadian former students who lived in the College’s residences. The LGAC will award six or more scholarships with a value up to £4,000 each, including awards funded by corporate sponsors, such as AIM Trimark. Scholarships are awarded principally on the basis of academic excellence, and take into account the expected contribution that winners will make to the extracurricular life at Goodenough College.
Candidates must be full-time students enrolling in an accredited graduate program in London or undertaking thesis research in London while enrolled elsewhere. Scholarship winners are expected to reside at Goodenough College for a full academic year, although up to two awards of a minimum six months residency to support thesis research will be considered. Scholarships will not be renewed. Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada.
Interested candidates must submit a completed Application Form, which can be downloaded from the LGAC’s website (www.lgac.ca). Candidates must also arrange to have all post-secondary institution transcripts and three letters of reference sent to the address below. Scholarship winners are required to report any other awards they receive. Additional awards may reduce the funding level of an LGAC Scholarship.
The deadline for receipt of all application materials for the 2007-2008 academic year is January 15, 2007.
Candidates will be notified of the results of their applications in April 2007. For further information, visit the LGAC website, email the LGAC at lgac@lgac.ca, or write to:
