[United State] Graduate School Master’s Scholarship -Wayne State University
The Spring/Summer 2007 Graduate School Master’s Scholarship Program (GSMS) is intended to provide tuition assistance to WSU Master’s students who otherwise would depend upon loan fund assistance to pursue their graduate degrees. Recipients must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents who have applied and qualify for need-based financial aid. Recipients must be enrolled for at least one graduate credit during the term of the award, must maintain satisfactory academic progress, must be in good standing, and may not be in default of federal- or state-funded loans.
The GSMS is awarded for the Spring/Summer Semester 2007, depending upon the recipient’s demonstrated need[1], which is determined by the Financial Aid Office. The Scholarship provides payment for up to six graduate credits per term of the award. The award will provide payment for the resident or non-resident assessment as appropriate to the award recipient. Recipients who demonstrate need of less than the equivalent of six graduate credits will receive only the amount of scholarship assistance up to that of their demonstrated need. There is no requirement to pay back scholarship award funds. Recipients may reapply for subsequent academic year awards. Note that there is a separate application and FAFSA process for 2007-2008 Academic Year awards.
THE PRIORITY DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING THIS APPLICATION IS March 1, 2007.
Applications submitted after March 1, 2007 will be considered depending upon the availability of funding.
