[United State] Torske Klubben Graduate Fellowship for Norwegian Citizens - University Of Minnesota

Torske Klubben Fellowships are available to Norwegian citizens for graduate study in the University of Minnesota Graduate School. The Fellowship is worth $13,000 for the academic year and is supplemented by a full non-resident tuition scholarship. Torske Klubben Fellows are eligible to apply for a second year of support, but the award is not automatic. Deadline: March 1 (if deadline falls on a weekend, then the following Monday.) Note: Applicants must be admitted to the University of Minnesota Graduate School to be considered for the Fellowship.

Applicants should proceed as follows:

  • Information on the UM admission process is available at website
    http://www.grad.umn.edu/prospective_students. Detailed information about specific programs is also
    listed.
  • Submit the application for admission electronically. All materials required by the prospective program
    AND the Graduate School must be received before final action will be taken on the admission
    application.
  • Make arrangements to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and have the scores sent
    to the Graduate School. Take the test at the earliest possible date to ensure consideration for admission
    for fall semester. Information on the TOEFL is available at web site http://www.ets.org/toefl/ or from
    the Educational Testing Service, Rosedale Road, Princeton, NJ 08541, U.S.A. The Graduate School
    does not accept other tests in lieu of TOEFL.
  • Students are strongly encouraged to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), including the subject
    test, at the earliest possible date, because many major departments require it. Make arrangements
    immediately to take the GRE and have scores sent to the Graduate School. Information on taking the
    GRE is available at web site http://www.gre.org/ or from the Educational Testing Service
    (address above).
