[United states] American Indian Scholarship - NSDAR
The American Indians Committee of the National Society, DAR awards scholarships to Native Americans with its American Indian Scholarship. This supplemental award is intended to help Native American students of any age, any tribe, in any state striving to get an education. All awards are judged based on financial need and academic achievement.
Qualifications: All applicants must be Native Americans, be in financial need and have a grade point average of at least 2.75. No exceptions made.
Area of Study: OPEN. Programs may be vocational training or college/university at the undergraduate or graduate level. Graduate students are eligible; however, undergraduate students are given preference.
Applicant criteria
`To receive the scholarship application you must send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the address above.
Application Procedures: You must include with your application in one mailing the following: (NO EXCEPTIONS MADE).
- Letter giving family history, financial status and education objective.
- Official copy of last semester transcript, or last transcript obtained and sent by previous school.
- Three letters of recommendation
