[United States] Bentley Sponsors Scholarship Competition - Cadalyst
The BE (Bentley Empowered) Conference will be held April 29-May 3, 2007 in Los Angeles, California. During the conference, the student competition winners of four $1,000 scholarships will be announced.
This program honors extraordinary work of Bentley Systems software users from around the world — including students from middle school through advanced university. The student competition recognizes innovative and technically advanced projects created by students who are using real-world professional software from Bentley to advance their studies in civil engineering, architecture, urban planning, mapping and GIS, facilities management, structural engineering, transportation and more.
Using free MicroStation PowerDraft, an easy-to-learn-and-use CAD software, students can demonstrate their 2D/3D drafting and designs skills to an international audience. For more information on the submission process, select from these two student award category levels:
- Middle/High School (using MicroStation PowerDraft)
- High School/University/Collegiate (using MicroStation and other Bentley technology)
Entries can be made in the categories of Architecture, Engineering (Civil, Structural or Geospatial), Hydro-Engineering and High School/Middle School PowerDraft. The submission deadline is March 7, 2007. Winners are selected by a panel of jurors made up of professional engineers and University professors. In addition to the scholarship, winners will receive a free computer for their school with Bentley software.
Students from middle school through university level will compete for scholarships and software for their schools.
