[United States] IIE/Rocky Mountain - Adell & Hancock Fund.
The purpose of the Adell & Hancock Fund is to provide supplemental support to international or U.S. students who are in need of additional funds to carry out their international educational plans.
The award
The amount awarded will depend on individual need as determined by the IIE/Rocky Mountain scholarship committee and will not to exceed $2,400. The award is a one-time cash grant.
Eligibility
1) The applicant must be either an international student currently studying at a U.S. university or a U.S. student engaging in a study abroad program during the next academic year.
2) Applicants should demonstrate commitment to serious study abroad as a complement to academic and career goals. Evidence of this commitment should be presented in the “Statement of Purpose†portion of the application.
3) By the start date of the study abroad program, U.S. students should have completed two years of language study in the language of the chosen country or be able to demonstrate an intermediate level of proficiency by having tested out of the foreign language requirement. (Please indicate this proficiency in the “Statement of Purpose†section of the application.)
4) The applicant must be currently enrolled in a degree program at one of IIE’s U.S. Educational Associate institutions of higher learning in the Rocky Mountain region at the time of application.
5) At-large students are not eligible for this scholarship.

Describe your proposed course of study. Explain why you have selected this particular study abroad experience, and explain how this program relates to your academic and career goals. Explain why you chose the United States to pursue your program of study. List any administrative support available to you in your proposed program (e.g., facilities, resident director, housing, etc.).
