This award is sponsored by the George Bird Grinnell American Indian Children’s Education Foundation. It honors Al Qoyawayma, a distinguished engineer, renowned Hopi artist, and one of the founders of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society.
To provide financial assistance for college to artistically talented students who are members of the American Indian science and engineering society.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, the applicant must have applied for the A.T. Anderson Memorial Scholarship Program and have met the following requirements: a full-time student at the undergraduate or graduate level, a member of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society, at least one-quarter Indian, in financial need, and pursuing a doubl major in science or engineering and a degree in the arts. Evidence of the student’s excellence in art and engineering is take from the A.T. Anderson Memorial Scholarship Program application.
