Marriott School of Management
Europe Business
Summer 2008

Description
Seven countries in Europe will be our campus for four wonderful weeks during July and August 2008. This significant learning experience abroad is designed for undergraduate business students; however, interested students of any major are also welcome.

Planned cities and countries to visit include: Edinburgh, Scotland; London, England; Paris, France; Bern and Geneva, Switzerland; Salzburg, Austria; Munich, Germany; and Milan, Venice, Florence, and Rome, Italy.

Students will receive “on-the-ground” experience in European business, government, and culture, while visiting companies, castles, and cafés of northern and southern Europe. Students will have an opportunity to investigate and understand real issues in getting business done in the EU.

Planned visits include businesses such as the Bank of England, BMW, Rolex, Danone Yogurt, Nestle’, Pirelli, and Wedgwood Pottery, as well as the U.S. Commerce Department officials who facilitate trade with the EU, and the UN European Headquarters.

In addition to major cities, we plan to visit important early Church history sites in Preston, England, the Bern Switzerland Temple, plus the spectacular Lauterbrunnen valley and Zermatt (the Matterhorn) in the heart of the Swiss Alps.

In sum: seven countries, four weeks, one fantastic European business experience.
