[USA] Google Scholarship

The Google Scholarship Program offers funds to students studying computer science or computer engineering who are juniors or seniors in college or pursuing a Master’s or PhD. Selected scholars will be invited to an all-expenses paid trip to the Google Headquarters in California in spring 2010.

Application Deadline: March 15th, 2009

Individual Awards: $10,000

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be of Hispanic background
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in the United States
  • Must be studying full-time in the United States or Puerto Rico
  • Must have a minimum GPA of a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Must be a junior or senior undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in computer science or computer engineering for the 2009-2010 academic year



Required Documents:

  • Official transcript – Postmarked by March 15th
  • Proof of family income – Postmarked by March 15th
  • Proof of citizenship status – Postmarked by March 15th
  • Essay – Submitted online by March 15th
  • Letter of Recommendation – Submitted online by March 15th
  • Resume – Submitted online by March 15th
  • Financial Aid verification (if chosen as semi finalist only) – Submitted online by your financial aid counselor by June 30th
