[USA] Upward Bound Scholarship – North Shore Community College

PURPOSE:
To assist high school graduates who have participated in NSCC’s Upward Bound Program who will be enrolling at North Shore Community College to continue their education
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Applicants must be current participants in NSCC’s Upward Bound Program.

Applicants must apply for admission to North Shore Community College and be accepted into the program of their choice.

Applicants must complete the attached Scholarship Application.

Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
AMOUNT:
Scholarships will be awards of $1,000 for tuition, fees, and related expenses, $500 for the fall 2012 semester and $500 for the spring 2013 semester.
GUIDELINES:
Scholarships will be awarded for the 2012/2013 academic year. The NSCC Foundation, working with a College Scholarship Committee, will screen all applications and determine appropriate recipients for the scholarship awards. Awards will be announced July 9, 2012.
TO APPLY:

Complete application and return by June 22, 2012.

Include a personal statement introducing yourself to the Scholarship Committee (information about your family, work, special talents, community or religious service, leadership activities, athletics, honors or awards, and any other information that you wish to share).

Include the name and contact information and a Letter of Recommendation.

Include a copy of your high school transcript.
